My dance name is Bahija, which means "joyful" and that
is what dancing is to me: pure joy. I am looking forward
to learning, sharing and growing with this wonderful
dance community!
Bahija started belly dancing when she was 18 in Arcata,
California. After a long hiatus, she rediscovered belly
dancing in Reno through Aunty Magpie (Kendesh),
Tahari and Minya. Formerly a classically trained violin
player performing with Slow Djinn Fez, she now dances
full time with Asha!
